A Halloween and Friday the 13th crossover fan film hit YouTube earlier this week, and the no-budget movie has already gone viral. From the YouTube channel Radical Talent, the 30-minute film is called Michael vs. Jason: Evil Emerges. As it sounds, the film presents a scenario of Michael Myers and Jason Voorhees meeting in a bloody and violent battle, leaving behind a pile of dead bodies in the midst of the mayhem.
Since being posted to the internet, the fan film has quickly gone viral. In the span of five days, over 1.5 million viewers tuned in to see the bloody battle between Michael and Jason. It may not be “official” and it’s not playing on the big screen, but it’s clear fans of the genre have a big interest in seeing what would happen if the two slasher movie titans ever met. While this is not the first such fan film to hit YouTube, it’s certainly one of the most well-done, and worth the time to check out.
We’re not going to reveal who comes out victorious here, so as not to give out spoilers. You can see what happens for yourself when you watch the fan film in its entirety below.
In addition to this crossover short and other Friday the 13th homages like Never Hike Alone, Jason Voorhees will be kept busy in other upcoming fan films. This includes the fan film Voorhees from director Cody Faulk, which will pit Jason against a group of savage criminals on the run from the law. Additionally, Friday the 13th: Vengeance will bring back former Jason actors C.J. Graham and Steve Dash (R.I.P.) for special roles in the film. There’s no telling when Mrs. Voorhees’ baby boy will make it back to the big screen, but fan films like these will help keep Jason’s spirit alive until then.
