See Rambo vs. Godzilla in Amazing Mashup Trailer

Funny or Die

Right now, the Godzilla and Rambo franchises are both making a splash in mainstream pop culture. The new film Godzilla: King of the Monsters is currently playing in theaters, and we say watching it is a hell of a good time. Meanwhile, the recent release of the trailer for Rambo: Last Blood has Sylvester Stallone fans excited to see the conclusion of John Rambo’s story. Perhaps taking notice of these things, the hilarious people at Funny or Die have produced a mashup trailer depicting a Rambo vs. Godzilla movie, and despite being fake, it’s admittedly pretty damn awesome.

Of course, it’s not just Godzilla Rambo is hoping to take down. He will also be taking on King Kong and other gargantuan creatures from the franchise’s Monsterverse. I guess if there’s just one person who would be able to take all of these big monsters down himself, it would undoubtedly be John Rambo. Both fun and epic, the mashup trailer is very entertaining and just might make you wish it were a real movie. You can take a look at that trailer video below.

As far as real versus movies will go, Godzilla will have his own new one soon enough. He will next take on King Kong in the upcoming crossover flick Godzilla vs. Kong from director Adam Wingard, which is scheduled to arrive on March 13, 2020. While Rambo won’t be included, the movie should still be highly entertaining in its own right, and you can count on us being right there to see it.

Concerning Rambo, we can see his final opus when Rambo: Last Blood hits the big screen this year. This time, he will be heading to Mexico to save a friend’s kidnapped daughter from a cartel. Godzilla won’t be in the movie, but as long as we see plenty of Rambo doing what he does best – and we surely will – the sequel should be a great time as well. Watch for that movie to arrive in theaters on September 20.
