Keanu Reeves Shaves ‘John Wick’ Beard for ‘Bill & Ted 3’

Orion Pictures

Keanu Reeves is getting back into character as Ted “Theodore” Logan for Bill & Ted Face the Music, the third installment of the Bill & Ted movie series, begins production this week. According to co-writer Ed Solomon, the third Bill & Ted officially begins filming on Monday in New Orleans. In addition to Reeves reprising his role as Ted, some of the other confirmed cast members set to appear in the film include Amy Stoch, Hal Landon Jr., and Beck Bennett as Ted’s family. Alex Winter will also of course be reprising the role of Bill and William Sadler is once again back as Death. Erinn Hayes and Jayma Mays will also be co-starring as Ted and Bill’s wives.

While on location to prepare for the shoot, Reeves was spotted wandering nearby with a clean-shaven look. Because of his iconic performance in this year’s John Wick sequel, fans have gotten used to Reeves sporting that trademark facial hair as seen in the films. Reverting back to Ted mode meant shaving off all of his facial hair, though he was still able to keep the slightly-long hair both Ted and John Wick have. It’s a little odd at first to see him without facial hair again, but he does certainly look much more like Ted.

Hopefully, Bill & Ted Face the Music will do its predecessors proud. Both Excellent Adventure and Bogus Journey are truly iconic, and it’s going to be awesome seeing these characters again. For the sake of nostalgia, you can check out the trailer for the original movie Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure below!

Synopsis: Two dopey dudes (Keanu Reeves, Alex Winter) go back in time to fetch Beethoven, Napoleon and other biggies for a history project using a telephone booth doubling as a time machine.
