Directed by Mike Flanagan, Doctor Sleep, based on the Stephen King novel of the same name, hit theaters this weekend. In this sequel to The Shining, the story follows an adult Danny Torrance (played by Ewan McGregor), who is now a struggling alcoholic and still traumatized by the events that took place at the Overlook Hotel. When he meets Abra Stone, a girl who shares the gift of the “shine,” they band together to fight against the True Knot, a cult that feeds off the shine to become immortal.
In addition to the Doctor Sleep cast members, Texas Frightmare Weekend 2020 also announced an E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial reunion with Dee Wallace, Henry Thomas, and Robert MacNaughton in attendance. A group photo op is available for pre-order at $145.
