We won’t be getting Ghostbusters: Afterlife this summer like we were supposed to, but Crackle will still be premiering a new documentary about the original film this month. Called Cleanin’ Up the Town: Remembering Ghostbusters, the film is directed and produced by filmmaker siblings Anthony and Claire Bueno. The Doc will be free to watch on Crackle.com and via the Crackle app and will start streaming on June 18.
Cleanin’ Up the Town: Remembering Ghostbusters features exclusive interviews with over 40 members of the original cast and crew including director Ivan Reitman, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, and as the film has been in the works for over ten years, it even includes the late Harold Ramis. The work of the visual effects team is also highlighted, delving into how the film’s ghosts were made in the days before CGI had overtaken Hollywood.
