One of the most metal soundtracks to ever grace video games is being re-released with a special limited-edition vinyl from Fangamer. Double Fine Productions’ Brütal Legend is a popular action-adventure game from the PS3/XBOX 360 era that followed heavy-metal roadie Eddie Riggs as he’s transported to a high fantasy heavy-metal-themed world. Riggs was voiced by Jack Black, who added an entire layer of fun to the gameplay.

The score for Brütal Legend was composed by Peter McConnell (Psychonauts, Grim Fandango), and consists of 20 original orchestral tracks inspired by the heavy metal genre constructed to flow perfectly with the game’s theme and characters. The special limited Ormagöden edition that Fangamer is releasing offers brand-new vividly awesome cover and jacket artwork from Lee Petty, all 20 newly remastered tracks, a black and white splattered press, and a fold-out poster signed by both Petty and the game director and writer, Tim Schafer.
Only 666 copies are being made, so keep your eye on the Fangamer site for the drop, which is expected in Mid-April for just $29.00 USD. The Brütal Legend soundtrack by Peter McConnell can currently be streamed on Spotify and Apple Music to get you stoked for the release. Ass-kickers, unite!
