Sacred Bones and John Carpenter are at it again. After releasing amazing exclusives to the 2018 Halloween film and Carpenter’s third solo album, Lost Themes III: Alive After Death, Sacred Bones is now releasing exclusive vinyl records for the upcoming sequel, Halloween Kills.
Like the 2018 film directed by David Gordon Green, Carpenter is signed on as an executive producer and consultant for Halloween Kills. Along with his son Cody Carpenter and godson Daniel Davies, he also scored the new film. The trio also worked on Carpenter’s Lost Themes albums, blending Carpenter’s catchy and haunting synth playing with punching rock music.
Sacred Bones is releasing four limited presses. You can preorder the Sacred Bones Exclusive Art Edition, a cloudy clear press with red and white splatter housed in an exclusive jacket with art by Chris Bilheimer (2,000 copies—$26.00 USD), “Molten” (2,000 copies—$23.00 USD), “Charred Pumpkin Black” ($19.00 USD), and Orange ($22.00 USD). The album can also be preordered on cassette and CD.
Both the film and soundtrack for Halloween Kills will release on October 15th, 2021. You can pre-order the soundtrack at SacredBonesRecords.com.
