During Gamescom 2021’s Opening Night, the show kicked off with a look at the brand-new reboot for the Saints Row series. The game takes place in the newly created city of Saino Ileso, and features a more grounded take on the otherwise wacky franchise. The city is described as a terrifying and dangerous place ran by three rival gangs that will need to be taken down. Players step in the boots of ‘The Boss’ as she and her crew are in the infancy of starting a gang of their own.
During the live reveal, a cinematic trailer showcased the game’s location and characters, as well as some of the weapons players can expect to take on. We also got a quick look at some gameplay in a separate, and much shorter trailer.
