FYE is cashing in on some of that 1980’s nostalgia with Garbage Pail Kids cereal, complete with crazy crisps and marshmallow barf bits. The Garbage Pail Kids is a series of sticker trading cards created in 1985 by Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist Art Spiegelman, as a parody of the extremely popular Cabbage Patch Kids dolls that swept the world in 1982.

The Garbage Pail Kids trading cards displayed disgusting and grotesque versions of the Cabbage Patch Kids, including characters like “Itchy Richie,” who was covered in spiders, or “Leaky Lindsay” who was covered in her own snot. Garbage Pail Kids cards were insanely popular in the ’80s and early ’90s, even causing many schools around the United States to ban them.
