Indie game developers and 3D graphic & animation experts ALIEN Studio will be releasing the horror VR game Deadness on Steam VR, Vive, and Valve Index in the first quarter of 2022. Steam has the release date listed as February.

Deadness takes you on a journey where you find yourself confined to a wheelchair in a gloomy old research facility. ALIEN Studio promises you’ll experience “…real fear and anxiety in a super-realistic VR environment.

In Deadness, the spine-chilling spaces – as well as your imagination – will fuel your fear, leading you to the realization that something terrible has happened in the facility. Trying to hide from the undead will make your heart race and take your breath away because you cannot kill what is already dead…

Unlike other VR games, where players can suffer from motion sickness, the game has a unique mechanic where you can only move around the environment using your hands which control all the movements as you would in real life in a wheelchair. ALIEN has created a video to highlight this control scheme that you can see here.

Deadness certainly looks like an experience that won’t be forgotten in a hurry! You can wishlist the game already on the Deadness Steam page to be notified when the game is launched and check out the Facebook page for more updates.
