Fans of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have reason to celebrate, as Sony announced at their March State of Play that a collection of classic TMNT games will be coming to both PS4 and PS5 later this year titled Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection. The new collection of NES, SNES, Genesis, Game Boy, and Arcade games from the popular franchise is being developed by Konami in collaboration with Nickelodeon and Digital Eclipse.
The games will be updated with new HD textures and designs, and new features will be available, including a “save and rewind” option. Some of the games will also have new modes, like Challenge Mode or Boss Mode. One of the biggest draws is that several of the games will have both local and online co-op multiplayer modes. Those games include TMNT 2: The Arcade Game, TMNT 3: The Manhattan Project, The Hyperstone Heist, and TMNT IV: Turtles in Time.
The list of games in the collection includes:
– Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Arcade)
– Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time (Arcade)
– Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (NES)
– Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Arcade Game (NES)
– Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III: The Manhattan Project (NES)
