“Do you guys not have phones?”
If not, it’s fine because Diablo IV is coming soon and won’t be on phones. During Summer Game Fest 2022’s Xbox/Bethesda showcase on Sunday, we got an in-depth look at the upcoming game as well as the reveal of its fifth and final class: the Necromancer.
Described as the culmination of the last 25 years of Diablo, Diablo IV is not pulling punches. During the event, we got to see what Diablo IV gameplay looks like captured on the Xbox Series X. Various aspects of the game were also revealed.
The character creation is said to be more robust than ever, allowing players to create whatever they want to see in a fantasy character (within reason, we’re sure). Diablo IV will support crossplay and cross-progression across all its launch consoles. Couch co-op is also an option.

One of the biggest takeaways is the open-ended experience offered in how you tackle the game’s progression. Touted as not having a set path for the player to follow, Diablo IV will truly be able to be dealt with any way you see fit. Additionally, Endgame will be a big deal. Advertised as being just the beginning, Diablo IV’s endgame will offer players more grueling enemies, challenges, and quests, giving players hours upon hours of additional content after beating the main game.
Diablo IV is coming next year, 2023, on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC, PS5, and PS4. Check out the new trailer below!
