To Funko collectors worldwide, the new year means it’s time yet again for the Funko Fair. On Wednesday, January 18th, Funko Fair 2023 kicked off with a new format. Instead of revealing new daily items over the span of a week, the toy company is now unveiling one full day of reveals each week until Wednesday, February 1st.
Here are some of the best announcements from Funko Fair 2023, day one!
Demon Slayer
Anime is a huge market and definitely one of Funko’s most popular categories. The popular anime Demon Slayer brought the fire to Funko Fair 2023. The biggest wave from the series so far features Kyojuro Rengoku, Mitsuri Kanroji, and Kanao Tsuyuri for the first time ever. The wave also includes Tanjiro eating ramen and the spider demon Rui.

As far as exclusives go, look out for the Final Selection Guides (Amazon exclusive), Kagaya Ubuyashiki (GameStop/Crunchyroll exclusive), glow-in-the-dark Rengoku (Walmart exclusive), glow-in-the-dark Kanao Tsuyuri (Barnes & Noble exclusive), Nezuko in Basket (Hot Topic exclusive), and Tanjuro Kamado (AAA Anime exclusive).
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3
Another massive wave of announcements from Funko Fair 2023 was the new figures from the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 film. Unveiled so far in this set are Funko Pop! figures of Star-Lord, Groot, Rocket, Nebula, Kraglin, Drax, Adam Warlock, and Cosmo.
Exclusives for this set include Mantis (Target exclusive), Jumbo Sized Groot (Target exclusive), Rocket (BoxLunch exclusive), and flocked Cosmo (Hot Topic exclusive).
New Funko Sodas were also announced for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol Vol. 3, featuring Star-Lord, Nebula, Rocket, Groot, Drax, Mantis (Target exclusive), Adam Warlock (Walmart exclusive), and Cosmo (Amazon exclusive). As with all Funko Soda, each figure has the chance of being a Chase variant!
Gilligan’s Island
Going retro with the next announcement, Gilligan’s Island Funkos are coming later this year. Fans of the show can collect Gilligan, Jonas ‘The Skipper’ Grumby, Mary Ann Summers, Ginger, Roy ‘The Professor’ Hinkley, Eunice ‘Lovey’ Howell, and Thurston Howell III when they hit store shelves in the coming months.
Five Nights At Freddy’s
The first day of Funko Fair also saw an announcement for a new line of Five Nights At Freddy’s collectibles based around a property called “Circus Balloon.” Many fans have no clue what this is but are speculating it could be an upcoming DLC for the latest game, Security Breach.

The new line of Funko Pops includes Balloon Bonnie, Circus Freddy, Balloon Freddy, Balloon Foxy, Circus Foxy, and Balloon Chica. A bunch of figures, plushes, and mystery mini-figures were also announced for the series.
DMX
The late, great DMX will finally get his first Funko Pop! figures this year. There will be a standard release version and a Funko Shop exclusive version.
