Netflix has released a new teaser and key art for Gamera: Rebirth, an upcoming animated series. The six-episode limited show promises an epic battle against five different kaiju. Gyaos, a well-known Gamera antagonist, is among them.
The new Gamera: Rebirth key art shared by the official Netflix Anime Twitter account features the winged monster. As electric volts course through its body, its dark shadow is cast against a deep red sky.
The new teaser that follows the key art depicts the titular Gamera next to broken power lines before entering a devastated city. With fires raging and destruction all around, we see the iconic turtle kaiju set its sights on Gyaos, flying high above the skyline. It then zooms in on a stunning shot of Gamera’s rage-filled stare.
