The Crow reboot has found its home at Lionsgate.
The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Lionsgate has acquired the new take on The Crow for its domestic distribution. Starring in the film is Bill Skarsgard, best known for playing Pennywise in the IT movies. Rupert Sanders directed the reboot, which is expected to follow a similar plot of a man returning from beyond the grave as “The Crow” to exact revenge on the people who’d killed him and his fiancee. The screenplay was penned by Zach Baylin and Will Schneider.
“The original film left an indelible mark on our culture that lives on,” a statement from the film’s producers reads. “We are thrilled to bring a new adaptation for today’s audiences that respects this legacy. Rupert has masterfully brought new dimensions to create a contemporary universe for this timeless saga of undying love, and we can’t wait to share this vision with film audiences.”

A release date hasn’t yet been set for The Crow reboot.
