A fairy tale of humor, love, romance, and adventure, The Princess Bride is a beloved classic that has been a fan favorite for years. Now, it’s coming to Toronto, live in concert.
The late Rob Reiner directed the film with his unique and wonderful grasp of humor, delighting not only the younger crowd but also getting many a laugh from the adults. It is filled with wonderful characters, swordplay, magic, and memorable lines that have been quoted nonstop since the film’s release almost 40 years ago.
The Princess Bride comes to Toronto from February 13th to 15th at the renowned Roy Thomson Hall. The music score will be performed live by the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. Fans have the opportunity to get tickets to one of these four performances. They can watch and laugh as they are entertained by this incredible collection of musicians.

Two conductors will share the duties for these four performances: Nicholas Buc on the 13th and 14th, and Lucas Waldin on the final performance on the 15th. The original score, composed by Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits fame, flows through the film.
It perfectly complements the delightful story unfolding before your eyes and is elevated by the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. The members of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra are experienced in these live performances and seem to enjoy them just as much as the audience does.
