Canadian independent film company, Black Fawn Films, has released the newest poster, plus a first look, at their upcoming film, The Heretics. The film is set to have its market premiere at the European Film Market on Feb 14th.
The Heretics was directed by Chad Archibald, who is known for the films Bite and The Drownsman, and written by Jayme Laforest, also of Bite. Leading the cast will be Nina Kiri (Let Her Out), Ry Barrett (The Drownsman) and Jorja Cadence (Deadly Women).

We recently talked with producer, Christopher Giroux, to learn a bit more about The Heretics and its cast:
“The Heretics features a young girl who is abducted by a man, after he claims that a cult is hunting her. His goal is to protect her until sunrise but while restrained, the young girl falls deathly ill. As her friends and family search for her, the source of her illness becomes more and more apparent. She’s not sick…she’s changing. It is a cult movie, but mixes genres and blends horror styles like Black Fawn hasn’t done before.
Also, the cast is incredible. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Nina and Ry before, but this film really showcases the extreme talent working in Canada today. I was constantly in awe on-set, watching what these actors bring to the table. I hope the audience has a real horror roller coaster ride with this one. Its going to be a wild one!’
In addition to this exciting news, Black Fawn Films has renewed their deal with distributor Breakthrough Entertainment. It will start with I’ll Take Your Dead, also directed by Chad Archibald and written by Jayme LaForest.
