One of the biggest badasses to ever grace the screen is the legendary actor, Charles Bronson. Over a career spanning several decades, Bronson has countless film roles in many different movies. His most well known role, however, is certainly as Paul Kersey in the Death Wish movies. Known for their gritty violence, the revenge films follow Bronson as a vigilante cleaning up the streets after his family is brutally assaulted by strangers.

What sets Bronson apart from other action movie stars is his untraditional appearance. Seemingly just a kind old man, thugs are never afraid to take him on, which ultimately proves to be their undoing. Once they see the true badass they’re actually dealing with, it’s too late. You’d think after so many movies of seeing our mustachioed vigilante shooting up street punks, it would get old – but, somehow, it never did.

Sadly, Bronson left us in 2003, putting an end to the Death Wish series as we knew it. Earlier this year, Eli Roth remade the film with Bruce Willis taking over the role, but it just wasn’t the same. The film had no heart, nor even a mustache, and the spirit of Charles Bronson just wasn’t there.

Enter Death Kiss.

From Uncork’d Entertainment, the new film looks and feels like the real remake of Death Wish. Directed by Rene Perez, the movie stars Robert Kovacs as a vigilante cleaning up the streets, and the actor is the spitting image of Charles Bronson. Even after a double take, you could swear you were staring at Bronson himself!

The film will be released on VOD and digital outlets on October 2. The DVD release will arrive a couple of months later, officially dropping on December 4. Check out the new trailer for the intriguing film below, courtesy of Bloody Disgusting!

Synopsis: Death Kiss concerns a vigilante with a mysterious past who goes to a crime-infested city and takes the law into his own hands, at the same time protecting a young mother and her child.
