Actress, author, and film icon Adrienne Barbeau, known for The Fog, Creepshow, Escape from New York, and many other titles, is the host of a new podcast called She Kills. The podcast will premiere on Shudder tomorrow, March 1st, and is just one of the exclusives debuting on the streaming service next month.
She Kills is a podcast by and about women in horror, and pairs notable women— actors, directors, writers and journalists— for frank and revealing conversations about female representation and inclusion in genre filmmaking. Guests include beloved stars like Barbara Crampton (Re-Animator), Jennifer Tilly (Bride of Chucky), and Dee Wallace (Cujo) genre innovators like Anna Biller, Alex Essoe, and Pollyanna McIntosh, and writers, critics and horror experts like Blaire Bercy, Grae Drake, and Dana Schwartz.
All ten episodes will be made available exclusively for its members on Friday, March 1st. Episode 1, which features a conversation with director Karyn Kusama (Destroyer, Jennifer’s Body), actor Emily Deschanel (Bones) and self-described “actor, host, nerd” Clark Wolfe (Satanic Panic), will be made available to non-members on Apple Podcasts and other platforms. Subsequent episodes will be released twice-weekly on Mondays and Fridays.
Shudder has plenty more in store for March, as well. The streaming service will exclusively premiere the Critters: A New Binge series on March 21st, the Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs series on March 29th, and Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich on March 7th. In addition to those titles, here are fifteen more horror movies coming to Shudder next month, which includes Gremlins, The ‘Burbs, and Army of Darkness.
