As wonderful as it can be at times, technology can be terrifying. Unidentifiable noises through the baby monitor. A wispy apparition in a security camera. Something spooky showing up in your selfie. The latter of which brings us to Tagged.
Written and directed by Patrick Mason, Tagged is a short horror film featuring a man (Andrew Pearl) just trying to get the perfect selfie. As he sits on his bed snapping away, his phone continuously asks if he would like to tag a shadowy figure in the hallway. He realizes the tag is in every photo and uses his phone to try and figure it out.
Andrew Pearl did great acting in this (almost) one-man show. The solid performance combined with quality production values and special effects allow the scares to ramp up at a nice pace. Although we are not quite sure what terrors await us leading up to the reveal, it is an entertaining ride with a fun payoff in the end.
With a run-time of just under 3 minutes, Tagged is absolutely worth checking out. And, you can do so below! So, turn off the lights, turn the volume up, and enjoy.
