Fallout 4 Mods - Video Game Fan Theories
Bethesda Softworks

Earlier today, Bethesda had a Twitch stream talking about the fact that, for the very first time, Fallout 4 mods are coming to consoles.  This is awesome news for console gamers, as mods can greatly extend the life of a game by offering up new and unique additions to a game you already know and love.

In the stream, Bethesda states that there are two ways to download mods:

1) There will be a new menu item when you launch Fallout 4, called Mods.
2) Players will be able to go directly to https://mods.bethesda.net/ and browse/download the mods from there.

Also mentioned was that there is a space limit of 2GB for downloaded mods.  So you have to pick and choose, at least for now.  When you launch a mod on an existing game, it will autosave immediately before implementing the mod.  This is a precaution in case it does not play nice with your console.  Another reason is in case you play for a time under that mod, remove it, and it causes problems.  In either case, you will have an unmoded save state to go back to.

This update will be available for XBOX One on Tuesday, May 31st.  PlayStation does not have a specific date, Bethesda stated it will be sometime in June.

Check out the YouTube video of their Twitch stream to get all the details and a preview of what it looks like.  Fallout is truly the game that keeps on giving long after most other games would have quit.
