Earlier today, Bethesda had a Twitch stream talking about the fact that, for the very first time, Fallout 4 mods are coming to consoles. This is awesome news for console gamers, as mods can greatly extend the life of a game by offering up new and unique additions to a game you already know and love.
In the stream, Bethesda states that there are two ways to download mods:
1) There will be a new menu item when you launch Fallout 4, called Mods.
2) Players will be able to go directly to https://mods.bethesda.net/ and browse/download the mods from there.
Also mentioned was that there is a space limit of 2GB for downloaded mods. So you have to pick and choose, at least for now. When you launch a mod on an existing game, it will autosave immediately before implementing the mod. This is a precaution in case it does not play nice with your console. Another reason is in case you play for a time under that mod, remove it, and it causes problems. In either case, you will have an unmoded save state to go back to.
