Requiem Fear Fest – Montréal’s first EVER full-on horror convention – will be paying tribute to the 35th anniversary of Sam Raimi’s The Evil Dead!

They will be featuring “The Ladies of the Evil Dead,” which includes Theresa Tilly (Shelly in The Evil Dead 1981), Ellen Sandweiss (Cheryl: The Evil Dead 1981, Evil Dead 2013, Ash vs Evil Dead 2015), Betsy Baker (Linda: The Evil Dead 1981) and Richard DeManincor (Scott: The Evil Dead 1981, Ash vs Evil Dead 2015).  In addition to celebrity guests, Requiem Fear Fest will present full length horror features and shorts as part of their film fest. They have a great selection of films to screen so far, and there is still time to submit.

Just across the street, horror and Halloween fans can check out Malefycia, which Requiem Fear Fest promises to be “one of the most terrifying attractions in town.” It is ran by Mathieu Surprenant, who “made headlines after turning his own home into a house of horrors to celebrate Halloween.” To celebrate and share his love of gore, horror and the holiday without further traumatizing his neighbors,  he created Malefycia. If you’re in Montréal, this sounds like a must see!
