Anyone who played the Friday the 13th: The Game beta in December knows how incredible it feels to not only play a Friday the 13th game, but as Jason Voorhees! Your adrenaline rushes as you start the game as the Jason you chose, and begin hunting down counselors one by one.
During the hunt, you’re aided by a variety of skills that can be specific to the Jason that you’re playing. For example, Part 3 can run, but moves slowly in water, while Part 7 walks but moves quickly in water. I loved that the no Jason is alike and stay true to their film versions.
If the hunt is successful and you catch up with the counselors, you’re rewarded with a fantastically unique kill. This is all amped up by the fact that FX legend Tom Savini is bringing some of the most brutal Jason kills to life on screen. These are all new, never before seen in film. They’re also played out by Kane Hodder, who has come back as Jason.
In addition to designing these kills, Savini will have an exclusive Jason Voorhees in the game. While the details aren’t known yet, you can check out a teaser below. This Jason looks terrifying and I can’t wait to see what he brings to the gameplay!
