While the world and its mother gets over the excitement of this year’s E3 (check out our extensive coverage), it’s easy to forget that there’s still a ton of other news to report in the world of entertainment. In fact, some such news is the exciting announcement that Nathan Fillion will be joining the already superb cast of A Series of Unfortunate Events, when season 2 hits Netflix later this year.

Nathan Fillion, who we all remember from his stint as the captain of the good ship Serenity, on taken-too-soon space Western Firefly, and as the eponymous hero in Castle, will join Tony Hale, Sara Rue, Lucy Punch, and Roger Bart as new cast additions, although no roles have yet been confirmed.

For the uninitiated, A Series of Unfortunate Events follows the trials and tribulations of 3 seemingly orphaned children, who are shipped around from home to home, in a bid to escape the clutches of the evil Count Olaf, who is out for their fortune.

Given Nathan Fillion’s history as the kind of actor who can be as smarmy and OTT as he is dramatic, he will no doubt be a perfect fit for the hit TV series. He has also appeared in cult geek shows like Gravity FallsSanta Clarita Diet and Rick and Morty.
