Nickeloden made their presence felt at SDCC 17 with the long awaited first look at their Rocko’s Modern Life reboot.
When we last left Rocko, Australia’s favourite wayward wallaby, and his friends Heffer and Filburt they were blasting off for a new life in outer space. That was in the 1990’s, and if the comic con trailer is anything to go by, they’ve come crashing back to Earth with a bang.
The trailer appears to be everything we know and love from the original Rocko’s Modern Life, from its cheeky adult humour to its cornucopia of colourful characters. But instead of the usual 2- minute episodes, Nick are bringing Rocko back in his own TV movie.
Titled Rocko’s Modern Life: Static Cling, Rocko and his posse struggle to get to grips with the many changes that have come to their beloved O-Town in the 20 years since they fled. Much of this is evidenced in the SDCC clip below, and full plot details have yet to be revealed.
The entire main cast and recurring cast will be reprising their roles, and show creator Joe Murray is on board too. It’s everything we could want and more.
