Bad Dudes

One of the most fun co-op video games from the NES days would be the cult classic Bad Dudes. While it wasn’t quite the hit Contra was, this side-scroller let two friends beat their way through the streets in their quest to save the president. Albeit unintentionally hilarious at parts (you literally eat a cheeseburger with a caricature of George H. W. Bush in the game’s ending), Bad Dudes was a lot of fun and certainly very memorable.

Now, fans of the retro game will be able to eat fast food with the POTUS once again. As reported by ComicBook.com, the original arcade version of the game is getting an all new port for the Nintendo Switch. This new version shares the original longer title with the arcade, as it will be titled Bad Dudes vs. DragonNinja. But, yes, the Switch version will feature two player co-op play, as that’s what made the previous versions of the game so great. You and a buddy can both be “bad dudes” wherever you go, complete with your blue and red JoyCons.

Via a product listing on the eShop page for the Switch, the release date for Bad Dudes vs. DragonNinja on the console is set for March 21, 2018. The game comes with a $9.99 price tag, which seems a tad high for a straight arcade port. But for old-school gamers wanting to hear that voice saying, “I’m bad!” at the end of each level, it’s totally worth it.
