Release Date: March 29, 2019
The psychological horror filmĀ WoundsĀ is based on Nathan Ballingrud’s novellaĀ The Invisible Filth. It tells the story of a New Orleans bartender named Will, who’s rather complacent in his life. Everything changes drastically, however, when he finds an abandoned cell phone in his bar. With its contents revealing some very disturbing content, Will’s mind and life both begin to fall apart as he investigates the sinister, unseen force behind the mystery of the phone.
To say much more about what happens in the novella might spoil the movie. However, with some excellent talent attached to the cast, the feature film adaptation of the book seems pretty promising. Some deviations to the story are to be expected for the adaptation, but carrying the same basic premise, the movie will likely be just as disturbing. If you’re inclined to read more about the novella which inspired the film, you can do so over at Goodreads.
There’s not yet an official trailer available forĀ Wounds, but expect to see one hitting the web soon with the movie due to arrive late next month.
Synopsis:Ā The story follows a New Orleans bartender whose life begins to unravel after a series of disturbing and inexplicable events begins to happen when he picks up a phone left behind at his bar.
