Veteran actor Crispin Glover is hitting the road with his one-of-a-kind show every fan of the film and TV star will want to see. Called “Crispin Hellion Glover’s Big Slide Show,” the show will begin with a special slideshow presented by Glover, described as a “one hour dramatic narration of eight different profusely illustrated books he has made over the years.” With Glover reading select passages from his book in the way that only he can, it can be guaranteed you’ll never see another stage show quite like this.

Following the slide show, Glover will then be screening one of his two films. What Is It?, the first of his movies, was written and directed by Glover, first premiering in 2005. Along with a cast comprised mostly of actors with Down syndrome, Glover appears in the movie as well, portraying the role described as a “Dueling Demi-God Auteur and The young man’s inner psyche.” The Craft star Fairuza Balk also has a voice role in What Is It?, voicing one of the snails.

Crispin Glover’s What Is It?

Synopsis: Being the adventures of a young man whose principal interests are snails, salt, a pipe and how to get home as tormented by an hubristic racist inner psyche.

Two years after the premiere of What Is It?, Glover would also release a follow-up film, described as being the second part of a trilogy. Titled It Is Fine! Everything Is Fine., the project was completely funded by Glover, who co-directs with David Brothers. The screenplay was written by Steven C. Stewart, an actor afflicted with cerebral palsy, who also stars in the film. According to Glover, one of the goals of the film was to show “that handicapped people are human, sexual and can be horrible.” The result is a movie undoubtedly unlike anything you’ve seen before.

It Is Fine! Everything Is Fine.

Synopsis: It Is Fine! EVERYTHING IS FINE goes into uncharted cinematic territory with screenwriter Steven C. Stewart starring in this semi-autobiographical, psycho-sexual, tale about a man with severe cerebral palsy and a fetish for girls with long hair. Part horror film, part exploitation picture and part documentary of a man who cannot express his sexuality in the way he desires, (due to his physical condition), this fantastical and often humorous tale is told completely from Stewart’s actual point of view – that of someone who has lived for years watching people do things he will never be able to do. Here, Stewart’s character is something of a lady killer, seducing a troubled, recently divorced mother (Margit Carstensen), her teenage daughter and any number of other ladies he encounters along the way.

To cap off this evening of compelling entertainment, Glover will be doing a book signing for those in attendance. He will be signing copies of his books like Rat Catching and Oak Mot, and ticket holders will be able to meet the man himself. It’s needless to say that any fan of Glover’s and filmgoers looking for something different will want to check this out. Currently, Glover has dates for the tour listed for New York, Texas, Arizona, North Carolina, and Tennessee. You can find out more at the official website, and be sure to keep checking back to see if the American Gods star visits a town near you.
