E3 2019: ‘LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga’ to Feature Episodes 1-9

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga
Traveller's Tales / WB

The LEGO Star Wars video game franchise has been cherished by LEGO fans and Star Wars fans alike. The first game, Lego Star Wars: The Video Game, came out back in 2005, with a total of four games in the franchise. Now, just announced at Microsoft’s E3 2019 conference, Traveller’s Tales is giving us the biggest and most ambitious game yet. All nine main saga Star Wars movies are being released together in one game in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.

The game includes all previously released games (Episodes I-VII), in addition to Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi (2017) and Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker (coming December 2019). For the previously released games, it looks like Traveller’s Tales will be updating the graphics (as the new Maul figure was shown, as opposed to the older one used in the original game) and adding voice work to the games that previously did not feature it. New characters will also be added who were never included in the games, such as Zuckuss, Salacious B. Crumb, and literally thousands more.

The game has no set release date, but will release sometime next year (2020) on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Check out the new reveal trailer and let us know if you are excited for the game on social media or in comments below!

‘Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker’ will see the continuation of Rey’s (Daisy Ridley) journey as the remnants of the Resistance face the First Order once again—while reckoning with the past and their own inner turmoil. Meanwhile, the ancient struggle between the Jedi and the Sith reaches its climax, altogether bringing the Skywalker saga to a definitive end. The film is set to release on December 20, 2019.
