For the love of horror 2019 horror con 0

The countdown is on for For the Love of Horror 2019 at Bowlers Exhibition Centre, Manchester, England. The UK’s largest horror convention returns on the 19th-20th October, turning Manchester into Santa Carla, the murder capital of the world, for a HUGE Lost Boys reunion.

But, that’s not all! The event will also be bringing stars of the Saw franchise, Tobin Bell, Shawnee Smith, and Costas Mandylor together for Q&As, signings and a very special photo-op on a recreated Saw set, with Billy the puppet. Bill ‘Choptop’ Moseley, known for Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, as well as Rob Zombie’s House of 1000 Corpses, Devil’s Rejects and Three From Hell, will be greeting fans and taking photos as his Devil’s Rejects trilogy character Otis Firefly, again on a specially recreated set build. Alongside his castmate, there will be a memorial for Captain Spaulding himself, Sid Haig, who was set to appear at the convention prior to his unfortunate passing last month. The legendary actor and stuntman Kane Hodder will also be spooking fans for a Friday the 13th photo-op in all his gory Jason Voorhees glory.

If that’s not enough to sink your fangs into, there’s a Stephen King’s IT mini-series reunion and exhibit, complete with the screen used Pennywise costume Tim Curry delighted and disgusted horror fans in back in 1990.

The event is also well known for its Scare Maze attraction, with rooms themed around the featured franchises: The Lost Boys, Saw and House of 1000 Corpses, amongst its own signature rooms, Wall of the Dead, The Crawlspace and The Furnace; bringing a little Halloween Horror Nights spirit to the UK.

If that’s still not enough to keep you entertained over the weekend, be wowed by the incredible cosplay talent in attendance, including The Geek Asylum, and take some silly shots on the previously mentioned, painfully accurate set builds.

Or, shop till you drop dead amongst the plethora of vendors, get a different kind of fear-fueled adrenaline rush in the funfair, have a drink or twelve in the Haunted Cantina (a recreation of Star Wars’ Mos Eisley Cantina made spooky for the con, also the location of the Mad Monster Afterparty), and come face to face with creepy critters in the mini zoo.

All of this (except photo-ops, signings, and additional purchases) comes with a ticket, still available on the website here. VIP passes, photo-ops and autographs can also be purchased on the site.
