Although many of the characters created by the legendary author have become Funko figures, Stephen King himself is now finally getting the Pop! treatment. As revealed by Funko, the Master of Horror will be getting two Funko Pop! figures, and both are pretty awesome. Even in Pop! form, King is instantly recognizable for fans of the horror mastermind, and it’s needless to say that these will be a bit sought after by Funko collectors and fans of the horror genre alike.
“Bring home the artistic luminary, best-selling novelist Pop! Stephen King,” Funko writes on their official blog. The figures are only listed as “coming soon,” so it’s not clear exactly when they’ll be released. One version of King, which will be widely available, features the author in his trademark glasses clutching a book (with presumably horrifying content). A second figure will be sold exclusively at Barnes and Noble, and this one’s quite a bit more colorful. With a bloody head reminiscent of Carrie and an axe in one hand similar to the one wielded by Jack Torrance in The Shining, this one more clearly depicts the darker side of the Master of Horror.
