London Toy Fair runs until Thursday, January 23, but on Monday, Funko kicked off the toy/collectible celebration early and announced a whole bunch of things from all sorts of licenses. They ended up announcing waves from over 30 licenses, a good majority of them being brand new and never done before in Funko form. These range from sports, to video games, comics, to board games. Here’s a rundown of the best Funko announcements to come out of London Toy Fair 2020.
The first line announced was Pop! figures from the upcoming video game, Cyberpunk 2077. There will be five figures in this first wave including two Pop! figures of Johnny Silverhand (Keanu Reeves’ character) and a GameStop/EB Games exclusive ‘glow in the dark’ Pop!.

A little further on in the day, Funko announced what’s next for their Star Wars line. Everything in this wave is from Empire Strikes Back. Darth Vader in his chamber, Han Solo in Carbonite, Luke riding a Tauntaun, and a Han Solo/Princess Leia ‘I love you – I know’ 2-pack are just some of the cool Pops coming for Star Wars fans.

The DC line will be growing this year with a ton of additions from various properties. We will get Pop! figures from three of the Batman movies: Batman Returns, Batman Forever, and Batman and Robin. A 10” Joker (Dark Knight) is also in the cards, as is a new Deathstroke Pop!. For Marvel fans, Funko will also release Gambit and Rogue Pop! figures. Gambit will have a ‘glow in the dark variant’ that will be available at Entertainment Earth while Rogue will have a flying variant coming to Hot Topic.

Funko’s Killer Klowns From Outer Space line will add three more Killer Klowns: Shorty, Spikey, and Jumbo. We will also get three Pops from American Psycho of Christian Bale’s Patrick Bateman: one in his suit (Hot Topic exclusive) and two in his kill suit (one being a Bloody Chase). Shudder’s horror anthology TV series Creepshow will also make an appearance in Pop! form this year with three figures: The Creep, Genie, and Scarecrow.

Other TV shows getting the Funko love include: Star Trek Discovery, Murder She Wrote, Dinosaurs, Fantasy Island, The Legend of Korra, and Masters of the Universe. MOTU’s next wave is huge with two new He-Man Pops, a Pop! Rides of He-Man on Battle Cat, a Sorceress Pop!, and even a 10” Skeletor!

Funko will also be expanding their board game series in 2020 with new expansions for Funkoverse. Three packs will be launching this year, including an Aggretsuko expansion, a Golden Girls expansion (featuring the other half of the iconic squad), and a Jurassic Park expansion featuring Ellie Sattler and Dr. Ray Arnold (both have yet to be immortalized as full-scale Pop! figures).

Finally, Funko ended on a ‘high note’, by revealing what they have up their sleeves regarding their Pop! Rocks (Music) series. Coming from Funko this year are musicians like James Brown, Aerosmith (Steven Tyler and Joe Perry), Willie Nelson, Papa Nihil (Ghost), Motorhead (Lemmy and Warpig), Slayer (Jeff Hanneman, Kerry King, and Tom Araya), ZZ Top (Billy Gibbons, Dusty Hill, and Frank Beard), Shania Twain, Slipknot, Weezer’s Rivers Cuomo, and a lot more.

That was it for this year’s London Toy Fair Funko reveal extravaganza. But don’t fret, Funko will be doing it all again next month at the New York Toy Fair! What did you think of this year’s reveals? What will you be picking up?
