Castlevania Season 3 is now streaming on Netflix, and some fans of the series have already binged it in full and say it’s the best one yet. Highly regarded by fans since it first premiered its freshman season in 2017, Castlevania is among the most popular video game adaptations ever made. After earning 80% and 100% Fresh ratings on Rotten Tomatoes for the first two seasons, it appears Season 3 is just as popular with critics, also pulling in a perfect 100% score like with Season 2.
Directly based on the video game series, Castlevania follows Trevor Belmont, Alucard, and Sypha Belnades and their battle against Dracula and his evil cohorts. Longtime fans of the franchise will recognize the art style of the series as similar to the popular PS1 game Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, though its plot elements also take inspiration from earlier Castlevania games. Though the older installments of the game franchise remain popular with fans, the series has cooled down quite a bit in recent years, with no new official game since 2014’s Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2.
Fortunately, that love for the classics has carried over into making the new series a bit hit for the Netflix streaming service, finally giving fans the true Castlevania adaptation many of us had long been hoping for. To start binging Castlevania now, all you need to do is head on over to Netflix. Of course, you’ll have to be a paid subscriber to watch the streaming service’s content, but I would presume you’re aware of that.
