Warner Bros. Animation’s Batman: The Animated Series was a staple for many of our childhoods. Originally airing on Fox Kids from 1992 until 1995, fans were introduced to voice actor Kevin Conroy as Batman, with Mark Hamill voicing The Joker opposite of him. The show is still considered one of the best Batman adaptations to date, and many would love to see the show rebooted, or at least a feature-length special. In the ’90s, the series spawned Batman: Mask of the Phantasm (1993) and Batman & Mr. Freeze: SubZero (1998).
Kevin Conroy, who is undeniably one of the nicest celebrities on Twitter, was recently asked, “If Mark Hamill, Bruce Timm and Paul Dini were up for it, would you ever consider doing a Batman The Animated Series reboot??” Conroy made fans a bit giddy when he confirmed that he “would love that.”
I would love that https://t.co/3I1LI5GZrg

One fan even called on others to get the hashtag #BringBackBTAS going in hopes to get the attention of Warner Bros. and DC Comics.
Guys let’s get this hashtag going – #BringBackBTAS so @warnerbros and @DCComics know we ALL want this! If they added this to @hbomax it would bring them so much revenue! Of course alongside @DCUHarleyQuinn and if they #ReleaseTheSnyderCut! pic.twitter.com/Axy0LYSfe9

To be clear, this is NOT a rumor regarding a possible reboot, but if it were to happen, it’s great to know that Conroy is up for it. In the age of childhood favorites getting rebooted, spin-offs, and new specials, let’s hope we will eventually see Batman: The Animated Series get the same treatment.
For now, if you are up for binging the series, it finally got the hi-def treatment for DC’s streaming service, DC Universe. It is also available on Blu-ray or DVD as well, on Amazon.
