King Kong Gets New 8-Inch Action Figure from NECA

Pop culture’s greatest gargantuan gorilla is getting the NECA treatment, as a new King Kong action figure has just been revealed by the company. The new figure is described as an “original take on the classic gorilla, with super detailed hair and battle wounds across the body and head sculpts.” Several new photos of the King Kong action figure have also been released, and it looks just about as amazing as NECA collectors would expect.

Standing at 8″ tall, the King Kong figure features over 30 points of articulation. The humongous primate also comes with interchangeable heads with varied expressions along with interchangeable hands with open or closed fists. Of course, King Kong will also be coming in NECA’s signature window box packaging, so he’ll look just as wonderful inside the box as he would on display by himself.

King Kong fans will also soon be seeing the famous gorilla back on the big screen with the release of the crossover movie Godzilla vs. Kong later this year. Directed by Adam Wingard, the film will merge the worlds of 2017’s Kong: Skull Island with 2019’s Godzilla: King of the Monsters to create what just might be the most epic giant monster movie yet. At least, that’s what many of us are hoping for, but what we’ve seen from this new “MonstersVerse” so far has been pretty spectacular, so there’s a lot of anticipation for the upcoming film.
