Scare Package, the horror-comedy anthology film that we absolutely loved when it played at the Nightmare Film Festival, is now available to watch on the Shudder streaming service. Featuring a variety of violent but highly amusing stories, the film features different stories from filmmakers Emily Hagins, Noah Segan, Aaron B. Koontz, Baron Vaughn, Chris McInroy, Courtney Andujar, Hillary Andujar, and Anthony Cousins.

Simultaneously a spoof and a love letter to the horror genre, Scare Package manages to poke fun at all of the familiar horror tropes in ways that are very creative and hilarious. This includes the short The Night He Came Back Again! Part IV: The Final Kill, which expertly satirizes the way horror movie villains can just never, ever die. The wraparound story, set in a video rental store called Rad Chad’s Horror Emporium, is also so entertaining that it makes me wish Rad Chad’s Horror Emporium was an ongoing series with more stories to tell.
Perhaps you should also know going in that Scare Package is a very violent movie as well. There is a lot of bloodshed to be seen in the movie, although a lot of the time, it’s intentionally over the top. It’s not a movie to watch for the squeamish, but if that doesn’t bother you, then you should have a pretty good time streaming the film.
Synopsis: In this riotous anthology, Chad Buckley is a lonely Horror aficionado, spending his days overseeing a struggling video store and arguing with his only customer, Sam. When an unsuspecting applicant arrives, Chad sets out to teach him the rules of Horror; weaving in and out of hilarious segments geared toward the ropes and tropes of terror.
You can watch the film right now on Shudder, and you can check out the official trailer for Scare Package below!
