Unsolved Mysteries will be back with all new episodes this October on Netflix. Earlier this summer, the streamer released the first six episodes of the reboot, shedding some new light on some of the most bizarre cases that need answers. Generating much excitement, the debut of the show was a hit, and fans have been wondering when more new episodes would be available to watch.
Now, straight from the official Facebook account for Unsolved Mysteries, we have a release date. A 3D photo posted to the page reveals that new mysteries will begin streaming on Oct. 19. That date will bring an additional six episodes to complete the revival’s first season on the streaming service, and if those episodes bring in a lot of viewers as well, chances are the reboot will get renewed for additional seasons.
Six new cases were explored in the first six episodes, including the bizarre and unexplained death of Rey Rivera; the abduction and killing of stylist Patrice Endres; the disappearance of suspected family killer Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès; the mysterious death of 23-year-old Alonzo Brooks at a rural house party; the story of the Berkshire County UFO; and the disappearance of Lena Chapin, who vanished when she was set to testify against her mother for the murder of her ex-husband.
There’s no word yet on which cases will be featured in the next six episodes, but it has been revealed that there will be at least one ghost episode included. We’ll have to wait and see which other kinds of stories will be shown when the show returns this fall. For now, the first six episodes can be seen streaming on Netflix, and the entire series from the Robert Stack and Dennis Farina runs from the past can be found on YouTube.
Can you put the pieces together and solve the mystery of the release date of the next six episodes?
