Livescream director Michelle Iannantuono has just released her newest project online, as the new short Seven Deadly Synths is now streaming on YouTube. Described as a “love letter to synthesizers and a biting look at one artist’s obsession with envy,” Iannantuono directs the short, using a screenplay co-written with husband and synth composer Austin Butts. Using a diverse cast full of LGBTQ+ representation, the movie stars Maximilian Koger (Detroit Evolution), Michael Smallwood (Halloween Kills), Tiare Solis, Graham Edwards, and popular video essayist Shannon Strucci (StrucciMovies).

Without giving anything away, Seven Deadly Synths opens the door for a feature film to expand upon this interesting synth-filled world established by the short. As the viewer response has been very positive, it seems like there’s a good chance we’ll be seeing Iannantuono following up with the extended, feature-length version someday. For now, you can watch Seven Deadly Synths below, and you can check out more from Iannantuono by visiting the official website for Octopunk Media.

Synopsis: During a night out at a club with his partners, synthesizer-obsessed bisexual musician Seth (Maximilian Koger) runs into his rival ex-bandmate Brian, and believes that Brian might now own one of the fabled Seven Deadly Synths.
