This year’s Star Wars Celebration was supposed to take place this month but due to COVID-19, the con joined the long list of canceled 2020 conventions. The Celebration may be delayed until 2022, but that doesn’t mean we still can’t get that sweet, sweet exclusive merch. Earlier on Thursday, Funko announced its handful of exclusives as well as where fans will be able to buy said exclusives in the USA and Canada.
Funko’s lineup of exclusives for this year’s Star Wars Celebration includes Pops from two different lines: The Empire Strikes Back 40th Anniversary, and the brand new Star Wars Concepts line.
The Empire Strikes Back 40th exclusives are a 10” Stormtrooper Pop! and a Yoda Swamp Pop! Deluxe featuring the iconic scene of Yoda lifting Luke’s X-Wing out of the murky swamps of Dagobah. The brand new Star Wars Concepts line will debut in this release with Concept Darth Vader, Concept Starkiller, Concept Boba Fett, and Concept Chewbacca. For those that don’t know, the Concepts line is based on the original Star Wars art done by Ralph McQuarrie and is a must-have for any Star Wars fan.
Now, since the convention isn’t actually happening, where can we get these? Funko released a list of where fans in the USA and Canada can get their mitts on these exclusives when they release (most likely between the 27th and the 30th of August).
In the US, you can find the Yoda Swamp Pop! Deluxe at Amazon, the 10” Stormtrooper at Target, the Concept Chewbacca and Boba Fett on the Funko Shop, the Concept Darth Vader at GameStop, and the Concept Starkiller at FYE.
In Canada, you can find the Yoda Swamp Pop! Deluxe at Amazon, the 10” Stormtrooper Pop and Concept Chewbacca at Toys R Us, the Concept Boba Fett at Hot Topic Canada, the Concept Darth Vader at EB Games, and the Concept Starkiller at Sunrise Records.
