Zack Snyder’s zombie movie Army of the Dead hits Netflix this summer, and the streamer has released a first look at the film. Although Snyder has gone on to film superhero movies like Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, longtime horror fans will remember when he helmed the Dawn of the Dead remake in 2004. As that film is one of the better horror remakes of the new millennium and one of the best zombie films of the past 20 years, it’s exciting to see Snyder returning to the genre.

The synopsis for Army of the Dead reads: Following a zombie outbreak in Las Vegas, a group of mercenaries take the ultimate gamble, venturing into the quarantine zone to pull off the greatest heist ever attempted.

In addition to directing, Snyder wrote the screenplay with Shay Hatten and Joby Harold. Snyder, Wesley Coller, and Deborah Snyder produce. The cast includes Dave Bautista, Ella Purnell, Omari Hardwick, Ana De La Reguera, Theo Rossi, Matthias Schweighöfer, Nora Arnezeder, Hiroyuki Sanada, Garret Dillahunt, Tig Notaro, Raúl Castillo, Huma Qureshi, Samantha Win, Richard Cetrone, and Michael Cassidy.
