The Mighty Ducks released in 1992 and features Emilio Estevez as Gordon Bombay, a pompous Minnesota lawyer who is forced to coach a hockey team of uncoordinated misfit kids as community service. After many bumps and bruises, the kids finally learn what it takes to be a team, and for Bombay, what it takes to be a coach. In the 1994 sequel, D2: The Mighty Ducks ups the ante as the team, plus a few newcomers, compete in an international competition as Team USA.
