Great news for fellow Cobra Kai fans, as Netflix confirms the show’s return sooner than we all expected. Although season 3 dropped at the beginning of this year, season 4 will hit the streaming service in late 2021. It was also revealed that The Witcher and You will also return in Q4 2021 with new seasons.
In the company’s latest investor video, Netflix Co-CEO and Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos said, “What happened in the first part of this year was that a lot of the projects that we’d hoped to come out earlier did get pushed because of the post-production delays and Covid delays and we think we’ll get back to a much steadier state in the back half of the year, certainly in Q4 where we have the returning seasons of some of our most popular shows like The Witcher and You and Cobra Kai as well as some big tentpole movies that came to market a little slower than we’d hoped like Red Notice and Escape From Spiderhead,” he said.

Cobra Kai found its home with Netflix after launching on the YouTube Red service. The show follows the original Karate Kid characters, Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio), Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka), and John Kreese (Martin Kove), as they train a new generation of karate all-stars. Based on the popular book series which also spawned a trilogy of video games, The Witcher season two just wrapped production. The show stars Henry Cavill as monster hunter Geralt of Rivia, Freya Allan as princess Ciri, and Anya Chalotra as Yennefer of Vengerberg. Season one released at the end of 2019 and has 8 episodes.
Also based on a novel of the same name, You stars Penn Badgley as Joe Goldberg, a dangerously obsessive serial killer. The show has two seasons, released in 2018 and 2019, which has 10 episodes each.
