Resident Evil is coming to Dead by Daylight next month. As revealed by the publisher in a new trailer, the Resident Evil Chapter will be the next DLC to arrive on the multiplayer horror game. Not only does it include two new survivors and a killer, it also comes with an all-new map of one of the franchise’s most iconic locations.
As he appears in the Resident Evil 2 remake, Leon S. Kennedy is included as a playable survivor in his Raccoon City Police Department uniform. Fellow zombie killer Jill Valentine, looking as she does in the Resident Evil 3 remake, is also available to play as for those who acquire the DLC. The RPD police station explored by both Leon and Jill in their respective games will be featured as a new map as well.
There were many different villains that could’ve been chosen for the Resident Evil DLC, but it makes sense to go with Nemesis. The Tyrant from the original title and Mr. X in Resident Evil 2 could have made for great alternate possibilities, but Nemesis is certainly the most well-known of the villains. Someone like Albert Wesker could have been used, though he is not as physically intimidating as one of the large monsters infected with the T or G viruses.

This is just the latest of many established horror properties to make it into Dead by Daylight as a downloadable chapter. Pyramidhead and Heather Mason from the Silent Hill series were previously added to the game. Some of the other chapters to get the Dead by Daylight treatment include A Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, Stranger Things, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and Saw.
The Resident Evil Chapter will hit Dead by Daylight on June 15. You can watch the official reveal trailer below!
