The newest game in the line of Rocksmith products, Rocksmith Plus, has officially been announced. Rocksmith Plus will act as a subscription service and will allow players to plug in their own guitar or bass and access an expansive library of songs and features. “Riff Repeater” will allow players to control the speed of a song to help them practice. “Rocksmith Workshop” will allow players to create their own guitar arrangements and then add them into the game. There’s no release date, pricing, or song list yet but PC beta registration starts today and is open NOW. GO.

Ubisoft announced a game combining the thrills of racing, motorbiking, skateboarding, and snow sports all into one game, Rider’s Republic. The game will feature an online and massive multiplayer game community. Your friends can ski while you snowboard, or wingsuit alongside them. The game will have team-based battles where two six-player teams go head-to-head. Riders Republic still features a ton to do solo, including building up your character and progressing through the career. You need to improve your skills and raise your profile on social media in order to bring in sponsorship deals. When Riders Republic launches on September 2nd, it will come to Xbox, PlayStation, Stadia, and PC.

Just Dance is back and ready for the next installment. On November 4th, dancers can  experience the newest game in the established franchise featuring 40 songs, including the popular single from celebrity choreographer Todrick Hall, titled “Nails, Hair, Hips, Heels.” Other songs set to make an appearance in the game include “Level Up” by Ciara and “Believer” by Imagine Dragons. Look for Just Dance 2022 on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, and Stadia. No Wii release this time.

This summer, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is getting it’s next big expansion, “The Siege of Paris. Cited as one of the most ambitious battles in viking history, the Siege of Paris took place during the ninth-century. In the expansion, Eivor will meetup with some “key historical figures” as they brave this new land and take part in one of history’s most notorious sieges. “The Siege of Paris” will release this summer and will be free to anyone with a season pass.

Also for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Ubisoft announced “Discovery Tour: Viking Age. Free this fall to all Valhalla owners, the DLC will put players in the shoes of people during the time of the vikings as they follow them on their endeavors, big and small. This will be a great educational tour for anyone who wants to learn more about this fascinating time in our world’s history.

To wrap up the Assassin’s Creed segment, Ubisoft confirms that they will support Valhalla well into its second year. That means more expansions will arrive this year and next. This is unprecedented in the history of Assassin’s Creed. There is more information to come in the near future.

Next, Ubisoft gave us a look at their upcoming film, Werewolves Within. The film offers a whodunnit meets horror meets comedy take on the werewolf genre and will be coming to theaters on June 25th, with a on-demand release on July 2nd.

We were given some more insight into the world of Far Cry 6, including a cinematic trailer showcasing Dani’s motivations, as well as more time with Giancarlo Esposito’s Anton Castillo and his relationship with his son, Diego.

The company also revealed their post-launch season pass content, including a trippy game mode where players can play as some of Far Cry’s most iconic villains. In three episodes, players will be able to play as Vaas, Pagan, and Joseph Seed and deep dive into the minds of these madmen. Michael Mando, Troy Baker, and Greg Bryk all return to voice their villainous characters.

Finally, along with the villain expansions, the Season Pass will also give players Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon.

Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope was shown off with some awesome-looking cinematics featuring Mario and the Rabbids teaming up against a new big bad with the help of a new addition to the series, Sparks. Sparks are a merge of Rabbids and Lumas and serve as the core of the story. The game will introduce new action elements and push the boundaries of tactical games. Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope will be exclusive to the Nintendo Switch and will be coming in 2022. More details will be coming soon, but until then check out some pre-alpha gameplay.

Closing up the conference, Yves Guillemot appeared to thank viewers for watching, summarize the show, and show us one last thing. In a turn of events that no one expected, we got a look at a brand new Avatar (blue aliens, not airbenders) game. Not much was revealed, but Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is coming to PlayStation, Xbox, Stadia, and Luna in 2022.

That’s it for Ubisoft! Stay tuned for more gaming news as E3 2021 continues.
