Horror fans were even more pumped up after the trailer release of the 2022 remake of Firestarter, with the announcement that John Carpenter, Cody Carpenter, and Daniel Davies were once again teaming up to create the Firestarter score. The trio has already garnered a lot of recent love with the soundtrack releases for Halloween, Halloween Kills, and some work on John Carpenter’s Lost Themes albums.
Though the new film will be released in May, the soundtrack will not be available on physical media until October, most likely due to consistent delays throughout the physical music media industry. Sacred Bones, Waxwork Records, Mondo, and a few other sites all have their own limited edition vinyl variants releasing and are all available for preorder now. Sacred Bones Records also has the soundtrack available on cassette and CD.
We’re not sure if the full soundtrack will be available via music streaming services when the film officially releases, but the Firestarter score title track is currently available to stream on Spotify.
