Mike Flanagan, the filmmaker behind movies like Doctor Sleep and Hush, as well as the creator of the powerhouse horror series The Haunting of Hill House, The Haunting of Bly Manor, and Midnight Mass, has his fourth Netflix collaboration releasing next month, just in time for the spooky season. The Midnight Club, which is based on the 1994 novel by Christopher Pike, is set to release on October 7th, 2022, and now, a first full-length trailer has been released.

Flanagan is co-creating The Midnight Club with Leah Fong, who was a writer on The Haunting of Bly Manor, The Magicians, and Once Upon a Time. The new 10-episode series will star Zach Gilford (Midnight Mass), Samantha Sloyan (Midnight Mass), Heather Langenkamp (A Nightmare on Elm Street), Annarah Cymone (Midnight Mass), and Igby Rigney (F9: The Fast Saga).
The Midnight Club will follow a group of young, terminally ill patients that meet up in a hospice building to tell scary stories to one another. The group makes a pact that when the first member of their club dies, they have to communicate from beyond the grave.
Flanagan is staying busy, as next year, his fifth collaboration with Netflix will release; a re-telling of Edgar Allan Poe’s The Fall of the House of Usher. Flanagan’s adaptation will star other alumni from his work, including Carla Gugino, Kate Siegel, Henry Thomas, and Zach Gilford. Mark Hamill will also be joining the cast.
