New cast members have been officially announced by Netflix for the upcoming third season of Wednesday. Starring Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams, Wednesday is executive produced by Tim Burton, who also serves as a key creative director. Burton will be reuniting with multiple stars from some of his past movies with the new additions to Wednesday Season 3.
As announced by Netflix, new cast members include Winona Ryder (Stranger Things), who starred as Lydia Deetz in Burton’s Beetlejuice and its legacy sequel, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, and Chris Sarandon (Fright Night), who voiced Jack Skellington in The Nightmare Before Christmas. Other new additions include Noah Taylor (Peaky Blinders, Game of Thrones), Oscar Morgan (A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, Gotham Knights), and Kennedy Moyer (Task, Roofman). It was previously announced that Eva Green (Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, Dark Shadows) has also been cast as Ophelia, Morticia Addams’ sister.
“It’s our dark delight to fling open Nevermore Academy’s gates once more as we begin production on Season 3,” showrunners Al Gough and Miles Millar stated. “We thank our invincible cast and crew for their continued commitment to doom and gloom. To the fans, we appreciate your patience and ravenous online commentary – your twisted theories have inspired nightmares. This season we welcome new students, new teachers, and excavate some long-rotting Addams Family secrets. Don’t say you weren’t warned.”
Tim Burton added, “I’m so excited to be back for Season 3 and it’s great to be reunited with all of the original cast. The addition of some dear friends and past collaborators of mine-Winona, Eva, Chris, Noah…makes this season extra special. I feel very lucky.”

These castings come as Season 3 officially starts production near Dublin, Ireland. Returning cast members include Jenna Ortega (Wednesday Addams), Emma Myers (Enid Sinclair), Hunter Doohan (Tyler Galpin), Joy Sunday (Bianca Barclay), Moosa Mostafa (Eugene Ottinger), Georgie Farmer (Ajax Petropolus), Isaac Ordonez (Pugsley Addams), Billie Piper (Isadora Capri), Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo (Sheriff Ritchie Santiago), Victor Dorobantu (Thing), Evie Templeton (Agnes DeMille), Luis Guzmán (Gomez Addams), Catherine Zeta-Jones (Morticia Addams) Joanna Lumley (Grandmama Hester Frump), and Fred Armisen (Uncle Fester).
The first two seasons of Wednesday are streaming on Netflix.
