Todd Howard took to the stage at the Bethesda E3 Conference to show more footage from the highly anticipated Fallout 76. Howard confirmed the rumours that the game will be a multiplayer game, with dozens of people working together, or against one another to complete quests, build bases and explore the huge open world map.
Check out the gameplay footage below:
In the gameplay footage, we see a group of four survivors exploring the wasteland, battling grotesque mutants and building bases. Fallout 76 will allow players to construct bases anywhere in the map, marking a dramatic change from Fallout 4’s set building areas. Howard also showcased the map’s numerous nuclear missile silos. Players can work together to gather codes to launch nukes anywhere on the map, including on other players bases.
On a personal note, I am unsure on whether or not Fallout 76 is the game for me. I’ve been a huge Fallout fan for many years, and always prefer to play games solo and become immersed in the world. Fallout 76 will be playable solo, however its unknown at this time what that gameplay will be like.
Fallout 76 will be released worldwide on November 14, 2018.
