Dead Age, the tactical zombie horror RPG from Headup Games and Silent Dreams, is available now on Xbox One.
The game drops players right into the middle of a zombie apocalypse, challenging them to rebuild society and make decisions while fending off hordes of undead in tactical turn-based battles. You control a group of survivors, execute dangerous scavenging runs, craft equipment and other useful things, build alliances, and fight for survival on a day to day basis. Its round-based battles are inspired by classic RPGs- you can act strategically, use different skills and weapons, and even plants bombs and traps.
In addition, each new playthrough in Dead Age offers different random missions and survivors to meet. Another feature is its non-linear story with actual in-game consequences. Decisions you make in conflict situations affect the story’s future. You can choose to be a hero and save more survivors, or let them die to stock up on supplies. You can build up romance relationships with other survivors, or start rivalries that may have disastrous chain reactions. Daily events offer new dangers and situations in which you must make choices which will affect your camp’s chances of survival. Live long enough, and have a chance to unlock one of the game’s six possible endings.
Dead Age was released on Steam in July 2016 and was met with very positive reveiws. Headup Games and Silent Dreams ensure that, based on support from the Steam community, Xbox One players will “receive the best version possible, improved hand in hand with the players.”
The game is now available in the Microsoft Store for $11,99 / €11.99 / £9.59, which is 20% off for the first days. After the initial sale, Dead Age will be available at the regular price ($14.99 / £11.99). You can check out the new Xbox One release trailer below.
