Resident Evil 2 is now available from Capcom, and it’s just as incredibly amazing as we thought it would be. While remaining very faithful to the original, the remake updates the horror classic for today’s gamers, making the story somehow even more frightening than before. Players have been spending lots of time exploring the police station in Raccoon City across multiple playthroughs, enjoying every bit of the game and still wanting more. The good news is that in just over a couple weeks, an all-new DLC called “The Ghost Survivors” will be released for Resident Evil 2, introducing three new stories with different playable characters.
In “No Time to Mourn,” players will be able to play as lovable gun shop owner Robert Kendo. “Runaway” will provide a different fate for the mayor’s daughter, with players controlling her in the story. Finally, “The Forgotten Soldier” will put players in a gas mask as an armed soldier fighting his way through the Raccoon City police station.

Because these are “what if” scenarios, what happens in each of these stories will not be considered canon. This means that alternate events can also happen, including using the game’s other characters in different ways. It will definitely be awesome to traverse through the police station setting with some fresh new stories, and kudos to Capcom for having it in the works to come out so soon. Best of all, the DLC is free!
Resident Evil 2 is now available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. “The Ghost Survivors” DLC will be available to download on Feb. 15!
